For this week’s Tuesday Two Hundred, we’re looking at a hip downtown loft, 1001 Belleview Street #401. This condo is located in the Beat Lofts, a 10-story, 75-unit building in the heart of the revitalized South Side neighborhood, also known as the Cedars.

This corner unit is a 2-1.5 and 1,336 square feet, listed for $299,999 by Natalie Newberry at Clay Stapp + Co. I love the marriage of urban and midcentury styles in this loft. Jump to read more!  (more…)

Tuesday Two Hundred: Updated 1960s Ranch Has Sleek Fixtures And A Fabulous Yard

Darbyshire FrontThis is one of those homes that will appeal to just about any palate. Listed by Keller Williams Realty agent Todd Smith, 3215 Darbyshire offers the 1960s ranch layout without all of the weird paneling and outdated fixtures, and for an affordable price at $280,000.

Darbyshire Living

The sellers have really put a lot into this Sparkman Club Estates house, and some of the upgrades are to die for. I love the polished concrete floors in the living and dining areas. It really highlights the brick fireplace, which is a two-sided gas fireplace. Love those!

Darbyshire Kitchen Darbyshire Kitchen 2

The kitchen has granite tile counters with tumbled stone backsplashes. There’s a Viking range and a convection oven, too, all of which are stainless steel. The real scene-stealer in the kitchen, though, is the commercial-grade stainless steel apron sink. I can’t even remember the last time I saw one of these outside a restaurant kitchen!

Darbyshire Master

The master bedrooms is sized just like Baby Bear’s porridge — just right at 14 x 17. It opens to the back porch, too. That’s a great feature for folks who like to take in a breath of fresh air first thing in the morning.

Darbyshire Master Bath

The master bath has been updated, too, with distressed black cabinetry, granite, and cabinet-top vessel sinks. I don’t know if I like the cabinetry, but it’s not my house, either. It seems a little dark, but I’m pretty sure that a coat of paint could fix it.

Darbyshire Backyard

The backyard, it’s just splendid! I love the stone path and the deck with pergola. That’s a fantastic feature. Put a spa right there and I may never leave!

Give her one acre and 4200 square feet of living space, where she can go blackberry picking anytime — well, except in winter — or walk-out of the basement right to 230 feet of deep, bold ocean frontage with beautiful rock ledges that enable fishing for mackerel, blues and stripers, just steps from your door! (Fish every night for dinner!) Spacious open floor plan and spectacular panoramic sunset/water views from every room: 2+ bedrooms; 3.5 baths; 17‚Äô windows and 20‚Äô+ ceilings in great/dining room; radiant heat; low-voltage lighting; computer and home theatre wiring. The gourmet kitchen with soapstone counters gets morning and afternoon sun, cherry custom cabinetry and maple staircases, balcony; bamboo, tile and polished concrete floors — makes sweeping the floors seem like being on a boat! Charming stone walls, patio, cottage gardens, birch trees¬† & blackberries galore! 2-story, 2-car garage/shop heated and wired for large tools – maybe we’ll hold this one for Father’s Day!¬† Quiet neighborhood, private drive. Walk to museums, restaurants and the lighthouse. Make this a second home, it may well end up being your ONLY home. Has been reduced to $1,490,000 for premier Maine waterfront… I want to go to sleep at night listening to the surf crashing!
