For this week’s Tuesday Two Hundred, we’re looking at a hip downtown loft, 1001 Belleview Street #401. This condo is located in the Beat Lofts, a 10-story, 75-unit building in the heart of the revitalized South Side neighborhood, also known as the Cedars.

This corner unit is a 2-1.5 and 1,336 square feet, listed for $299,999 by Natalie Newberry at Clay Stapp + Co. I love the marriage of urban and midcentury styles in this loft. Jump to read more!  (more…)

All I Want For Christmas is a Luxury Penthouse at The W

2430 Victory 3001 Living

OK, that’s not all I want for Christmas, but an impeccable 30th floor penthouse at the W Residences Tower in Victory Park is a good start. This highrise has everything you want in an urban retreat, and the decor is on point.

It’s listed with Allie Beth Allman herself for $10.95 million and honestly, I feel like this five-bedroom, seven-full-plus-three-half-bath, 11,807-square-foot pad is worth every penny. I mean, those views! Those amenities! The privacy! The style! It’s an incredible unit and it’s full of eye candy with contemporary lines and texture.

Cabana hotel cracks 1

I was down at The House yesterday, where I about fainted when I toured some of the few units left to sell: gorgeous and such a bargain! From the 25th floor, I looked out and saw the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge rising in her majesty, as if she was part of The House design. Then, to the right of MHH I saw The old Cabana Hotel, bordering the Dallas Design District. What a stark contrast (no pun intended, well, maybe intended) to the smooth, clean crisp whiteness of The House. God, I thought, that is going to make an amazing development. Then I drove over to the Cabana just to feel the vibe. Take a close up look. (more…)

Buzz Unit 409 Buzz Lofts

Is the Cedars — a neighborhood of once-industrial properties just south of downtown — the next big thing in Dallas?

If you’re to answer that question with the number of new and upcoming projects in the neighborhood, which include a new Alamo Drafthouse and a redeveloped Plaza Hotel using TIF funds, as well as the number of businesses attracted to the area, then yes, it’s the “next big thing.” But for those who live in any of the myriad cool loft developments in the area, it’s always been a great place to be.

OK, I may not understand it, but not everyone likes a loft. Some people want more walls to hang their art, more crown moulding, more niches and nooks. But don’t you want to live in one of Dallas’ coolest neighborhoods, right next to the redeveloping Dallas Farmers Market, close to the vibrant Cedars, and within walking distance of downtown and Deep Ellum? Who wouldn’t?

If this sounds like you, then you’ll adore this townhome at 912 S. Cesar Chavez Blvd. This gorgeous townhome was built in 2006 and is absolutely pristine inside. It has three stories, three bedrooms, three full and one half bath, more than 2,600 square feet, and a tremendous rooftop deck from which you can admire the fireworks in Fair Park during holidays.
