4524 Westway Curb

Yes, that’s right. I said perfect. Why? Because it is.

Every inch of this Highland Park home has been thoroughly and thoughtfully planned, right down to the last inch. The result is a grand home with an intimate feel, one that is perfect played up or played down. It could accommodate a range of decor styles, and thanks to its muted, transitional exterior, is appealing to a broad set of potential tenants or buyers.

Truly, 4524 Westway is a masterpiece of design and architecture, and you can live here for a recently reduced $11,250 a month. Listing agent is Douglas Ratlif, a new agent with Lively Realty.

6832 Westlake Front

We talked about this beauty at 6832 Westlake back when it had a lime green bar, swag curtains that would make Betty Draper weak, and some truly groovy shag carpeting. It was 1960s and ’70s luxury at its finest!

Well, all that’s left of this home’s formerly funky decor is the cool gilded wallpaper in the study and wet bar. It’s now ready for mass consumption, and you can rent this amazing Lakewood home for $5,500 a month! Jump to see it’s fresh new face!

You may think that homes on busy Buckner Boulevard in East Dallas can be nothing more than just a place to land. Because the six-lane thoroughfare that links Loop 12 to Northwest Highway is heavily used, you may think that it’s impossible for a home on this road to be a relaxing retreat.

And you’d be wrong.

Today’s Lease of the Week is an incredible home at 1545 N. Buckner Blvd. inside Casa Linda Estates. And boy, is this property an estate! Situated on more than an acre and enclosed in an automated gate, this home is perfect for a corporate relocation, temporary housing, or someone who wants to live in Dallas in a quality home, close to White Rock Lake, but isn’t interested in the long-term commitment of home ownership.

2220 Canton 103 Living

I think you know by now that this building is pretty much my favorite lofts in Dallas. It has a great location, wonderful views, and fabulous amenities. And it has a true, open loft layout that makes any decor look swank.

These units aren’t often up for rent, and when they do, they tend to go for a high price. Perhaps you’re in a situation where you need to move and don’t quite have any furniture. Or you’re in Dallas only temporarily and don’t want to deal with the craziness of packing up all of your decor and furnishings and sending them to a new city only to do the same thing 12 months later.

It’s just the kind of home for executives who want to relocate to a fantastic Dallas neighborhood before they buy. Perhaps they haven’t found their dreamhome quite yet, and they want a great place to lease in the mean time. Well, you can’t do much better than 6909 Tokalon, a beautiful French colonial-style home on Lakewood’s prettiest street.

This home is a fantastic rental for someone building their dream home and in need of temporary housing, or someone who decided to capitalize in our scorching market and is still looking for the perfect house to move into. And if access and amenities are what you want, you really can’t beat this location.

This is one of those rentals that, when you come across it, you feel like you’ve struck gold! It’s only been on the market for two days, and considering how sought-after the Meadows is, well, I give it a week, max.

4912 Swiss Front

When people come to visit from out of town and want to see the sights in Dallas, I always take them for a stroll or drive, depending on the weather and how long we can survive without air conditioning, down Swiss Avenue. It’s one of my favorite streets in Dallas, and it has an incredible collection of well-preserved historic homes and a fantastic neighborhood association full of proud homeowners. It is truly unique!

Of course, a home on Swiss Avenue isn’t for everyone. There are certain obligations a home with this address requires: upkeep, for starters, tends to be the most daunting aspect of homeownership for those who wish to live on Swiss.

But, what if you could rent one of these stately Southern mansions without the obligation to buy?
