Woo Hoo! Matt Scobee Gets the Keys to the Benz at Clay Stapp & Associates

CSCO mercedes1

Remember when we told you about this incredible agent incentive over at Clay Stapp & Associates? It’s the sales incentive program for CSCO Realtors. Each quarter the top producer in the company has an opportunity to win a special car lease in a drawing to be held at the end of 2014.

And not just any car, but a brand new 2015 Mercedes E350. Pretty hot stuff.

Well, it’s the end of December 2014 and the year is drawing to a close. So, on December 17, at Park Place Motors, 17 CSCO quarterly-top producers Blake Damron, Matt Scobee and Alan Shaffer each selected a key.

Since Alan was a top-producer for 2 quarters, he had 2 chances at winning the 12-month lease to the brand new 2015 Mercedes E350.

Guess who drew the winning chance? Matt Scobee. Super duper congrats and it’s going to be a great Christmas at your house!

Hey, Matt, can I borrow the car man?

Ebby’s Acquisition of WilliamsTrew: Checkmate in Cow Town?

Fort Worth

It’s Monday, and as I told one agent a few moments ago,  I felt like a cocktail at about 2:30 p.m. Everyone in town is talking about the historic news today that Fort Worth and Dallas real estate is, for the first time, united. For the first time, Ebby Halliday has joined forces with a dominant Fort Worth real estate firm that rounds out their presence in North Texas. Apparently the firms had been talking for years. Ebby has wanted a Forth Worth presence for a long time. The timing was perfect: this could never have happened 10 or 20 years ago when the two cities were hell bent on strongly separate brands.

And to round it out, it started with news that a major Dallas boutique broker has reached across the mid cities to bring the Briggs Freeman brand to Fort Worth.

WilliamsTrew is a luxury boutique real estate firm of 85 agents focused on selling prime Fort Worth real estate. The acquisition by Ebby Halliday, the largest independent brokerage in the United States, was a totally stealth deal, TOTALLY. Even WilliamsTrew agents didn’t know a thing until today. The word came simultaneously with news that Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty had ended a year long legal dispute, reached a settlement with WilliamsTrew, and was finally able to spread its wings west to Fort Worth.

Is this check and checkmate? Let the games begin!New WT logo

Fort Worth

If there is another report of an earthquake today in Dallas, have no fear: it will be the cheers coming from Lovers Lane just west of the Tollway, at the main office of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty.

At twelve noon today, Robbie Briggs announced his firm has ended the lawsuit with Fort-Worth based Williams Trew Real Estate Services of Fort Worth. Which means Briggs may now open an office or two in Fort Worth — and they will. Williams Trew will no longer belong to the Sotheby’s International Realty Network. They will be announcing re-branding today at noon — so stay tuned.

For brokers, the Dallas Fort-Worth connection is very valuable stuff. I would imagine everyone would be interested in this golden opportunity to go west.

The Dallas-Fort Worth real estate market continues to be one of the hottest in the nation, as brokers, particularly luxury brokers, literally fight for the right to sell dirt in a tight market. Since January, more than 1057 homes priced at more than a million dollars have changed ownership in the 60 NTREIS counties. This is dirt worth fighting for! (more…)
